Text Edit and Preview, plus the recent updates to Pages and Numbers.

just for the info, the same issue exists with Mavericks.

I have set save autorecory info for every 1 minute (about a year ago)

This morning I updated a word document, then I went out for Lunch, came back to my desk, did more update, and then I wanted to paste a table from excel to word, Word froze. I had to force-quit word.

When I re-opened Word, my document opened automatically but the content was the same as when I first opened the file in the morning. VERY FRUSTATING.

I wish I could use iWork but company policy is to use MS Office.
