Thought I was going crazy. I also us Google Chrome and it just did not work since moving to this new version of I-Tunes. Used your suggestion going back to IE9 to see if that would work and it did. Thanks
Yes. I am having this problem too. I paste a blank image. I can only import pictures by double-clicking on the album artwork under options.
Also, has anyone noticed that multiple albums are showing for the same album?

For multiple album issues see my post on Grouping tracks into albums.

Yeah I can't even do drag and drop. Hopefully they fix this soon!!
I found an easy (and hopefully, temporary) solution to this bug on another post: you have to save the album artwork to your computer, and then drag the file to the iTunes space for Artwork. Or simply drag & drop from the internet - though this doesn't seem to be working for everyone. Hope that helps (:
The same's happening for me. I can't copy an image from chrome into the artwork tab. It just brings up a blank white square with a border around it. The same happens if I drag and drop from chrome. But if I copy / drag and drop from IE it works fine...
The IE9 thing doesn't work for me(I just get the circle with a line through it by the mouse), but the save to disc, copy and paste does. Bit of a schoolboy goof to break such an important feature of your app and not pick it up in testing. Bad Apple!
I could not copy art work over using Firefox but IE8 worked like a charm!
The new iTunes update 10.4.1.10 fixed this issue.
interestingly.....it works to get the coverart into itunes (into the display and coverflow) but it does not show up in the small window that i paste the image into. same as before with a white image.
strange. and silly for apple.
I think itumes match and icloud also add to this album artwork gets added and visible in aac files but not mpeg for me, if i want to copy past artwork i create aac version and paste then it sticks
The music files might be marked read only - right click on properties and uncheck the read only attribute.
