RSA SecurID

Hi,

I just moved to Lion this morning. As immediate result, my SecurID Token Stoppend working and re-installing won't fix it. The error message is:

Error loading the application. Contact your administrator.

Anybody any idea?

Thanks!

I had the same issue with the app not being able to find a token storage device.

I ran all the stripts

$ sudo /Library/Application\ Support/SecurID/uninstall-rsasecurid-db

$ sudo /Library/Application\ Support/SecurID/uninstall-rsasecurid-keychain

and finally

$ cd /Library/Application\ Support/SecurID

$ sudo python uninstall-rsasecurid.py

Reinstalled the App and Same thing.

The culprit seemed to be the keychain Access app.

I ended up deleting the following file in the users dir and it allowed the user to recognise the

"Token Storage Device"

$ sudo rm -rf /Users/<userID>/Library/Keychains/login.keychain

Hope this helps

Enjoy.

I'm having similar problems as outlined in this thread. Really, confused at this point. I have tried to install, uninstall, re-install, etc. and am going backwards.

Initially had the issue of the duplicate token. Now after downloading 4.11 I get this message: RSASecurIDMac411.mpkg can't be opened becaue it is from and indentified developer.

I have bought a new macbook pro running 10.9 and I do have a SSD disk.

Any ideas?

I ran into the same issue with I am running SecurID 4.1.1 after upgraded MBP HD to an SSD. I found the issue is related to permissions on the SecurID token DB file. By default your securID tokenDB file is located at:

~/.RSA/RSA/RSA SecurID Software Token Library

You must give nonadministrative users Read, Write, and Modify privileges to the database file. Otherwise, they may not be able to use the application.

This is documented in the section Customize the Token Database Location (Optional) within the SecurID Admin Guide.

When I checked the file there were write access on the file, updated to give user the correct permissions, and the issue was resolved.

Installed RSASecurId v 4.1.2- could not import token - it was always asking to select a device from the list, which was empty

Here is what worked for me:

1. sudo /Applications/SecurID.app/Contents/MacOS/SecurID

2. import your token

3. Exit SecurId

4. chown -R <userid> ~/.RSA

Now, the tricky part is, that for some reason the com.rsa.Software Token\Library.plist was missing from /Library/Preferences folder. You can either restore it from a time machine if you had SecurId installed before, or

create it from scratch with the following content:

User uploaded file

pay attention to the file name - it has to have a backslash \ -> com.rsa.Software Token\Library.plist

I had the same problem with the securId, it didn't recognize any devices, after doing all of the previous mentioned solutions and having no apparent fix, I this ONE LAST step that make the difference in my case

- (uninstalled from console) removed the shortcut from the dock, and restarted the computer,(and then reinstall normally)

Thanks for all the previous solutions!
