cannot zoom after install of Lion on MackBook Pro -

Hey. I want to agree with what's being said here. The removal of the pinch to zoom feature is absurd! This is unfortunately one of many examples of decisions Apple makes that seem to make no sense, kind of like the missing firewire port on the side of my macbook...Anyways, Lion is great. Full screen apps are awesome, Mission Control is great, the new gestures work great, but this pinch to zoom thing frustrating. The other 'bug' that I find annoying at this time is at the log in screen. When I click my user name is takes quite a while to load the text field where I will enter my password! I'll go start another discussion about that though. Let's not lose sight of the pinch to zoom like apple did!

and the funny thing is, that apple added the pinch zoom to the wallpaper selection for the thumbnails where i personally do not need it at all.

so please apple, do something about it in the next update.

U only have to press "Cmd" + "/" to bring back the finder slider in Lion... 😀

I cannot believe this was taken out. This was just a natural thing for me, i liked the fact that my desktop icons could be tiny when i didn't need them, and huge when i did. A terrible ommision.

Otosan, the problem is that the bloody slider works only sometimes! 😠

I just discovered that if the slider is not working and I press "Cmd" + "/" to hide it and then press "Cmd" + "/" to bring it back, it starts working again. (24" iMac)

And I discovered that the pinch to zoom does not work in open file dialogs... So sad, how nice was to just zoom images when I was selecting one for example in Word (while changing image, thus drag'n'drop cannot be used).😟

As you can see it is possible to zoom

please read the thread entirely, before you post something just to post something.

this is not the zoom we talk/discuss about. we are talking especially about the pinch-zoom in the finder or the open file dialog.
