Lion: where is iSync?

Why in Lion there isn't iSync?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)

I still get the iSync icon in the menubar when I activate syncing in Address Book in Lion.

That's not an iSync icon. That is a system-wide Sync menu which is used by many different sync functions throughout OS X including MobileMe and inter-app syncing using SyncServices.

In any case, iSync is still there in Lion. Just not the GUI app itself.

No, iSync has gone. SyncServices (the underlying framework that iSync uses, but which is not iSync) is still there.

Plus, SyncServices is now deprecated in OS Lion, meaning it won't be there for much longer, so apps that rely on it will not work at all when Apple finally removes it.

I just changed from windows to mac (mini) not to having problems, but now I can't sync my data having in my nokia, also just bought it, and i feel like i am in the air... I paid 2 weeks ago so much money for a promised "Hi-tech paradise solution" in my daily digital affairs and now I can't done my job!

And looks like that there isn't from the company, tooked my money like a common thief, even just a thought for this problem of sync for so many users around the world! Is this fair? Have we like consumers any law to protect us against these offensive multinational companies attitude? Is this life a dream or a nightmare? Give me my money or my life back! Now! I paid you in cash, I demand the same! Is this the support they declare in their logo? This way of making money is not legal and has to do something about this asap!

Thanks so much for the link! I've been searching everywhere and this is the only place I could find it on the web!

I'm trying to download bc my contacts were all deleted out of nowhere from my iPhone. However, I upgraded to Lion a few weeks ago and haven't had any contact issues until today. Do you have any idea if this will fix the problem?

How is it possible that Apple removes an application that so many people need - it's a fairly basic app. that need to be on a fully functional computer system. Are you kidding me??

Just like with FCP I think that Apple should make iSync avaliable for download for all users who has spend money on upgrading to the new OS when they make a mistake like this!
