Unable to search network drives with Lion...
After installing Lion, I have found I am unable to search network drives (Windows network) like I used with Snow Leopard. Any suggestions?

Can you blame the guy? The problem is exactly what you don't have any fix for. Just like the discussion topic...
Still no word from Apple on this. I will follow up again today.
Same Problem here! are they any 3rd party search tools?
Yes - Foxtrot or Foxtrot Pro.
I have always found this to be superior to spotlight anway. Better at carrying out structured and systematic searches.
Having the same issue
Feels like we are running Vista...
same problem here - we had 8 year old g4s - newly replaced with lion & now we are unable to search our network archives for artfiles - not good - i need a solution asap
This seems to work very well. Thanks for the tip!
Evan
Yes - I'd forgotten about Devon technologies little app.
Does indeed work 🙂.
I've been using "Find Any File", also from the App Store, and it works better for me than EasyFinf
Hmmm... a finder that can't find anything. When it did, it left droppings everywhere (.dstore files.)
I give easyfind a thumbs up, and it's free.
Great tip--thanks. I made up a couple of search paradigms for much searched Win 7 directories and popped them onto my Dock. Saves a lot of time and unlike EasyFinf one can save searches.
Same problem, i can't fix it, we need a reply from Apple !
I am also having this problem. That's very annoying, since our server is a Windows server, and I need to work with thousands of files.. No problem before I installed Lion yesterday.
Same problem.
And there's more:
The battery is lasting a half before.
MAC OS X Lion is much heavier.
