Unable to search network drives with Lion...
After installing Lion, I have found I am unable to search network drives (Windows network) like I used with Snow Leopard. Any suggestions?

Thanks ahenket! I can't believe I never tried that 😮
Now working here on all our Lion Macs.
Correction. Still not working.
It now searches the top level folder but does not search sub-folders. Still need this fixing, Apple!
Resetting the pram did nothing to fix searching for a file name on an SMB Share ...
If the problem is not resolved in 15 days, I back to Leopard and I will ask my money back. Apple may well take an action.
Does anybody know if this problem is fixed in the 10.7.1 update?
No, it's not fixed.
Nope, not fixed with the update.
Apple clearly aren't taking this problem very seriously.
Doh!
Still not fixed in 10.7.1.
Apple we NEED to be able to search SMB drives...
I wonder if anyone has thought about sending one of those emails....to the top man himself? I have read that sometimes he responds on rare occasions to an email. ?
😕
10.7.1 fixed my issues with searching SMB shares.
Does searching the network volume work for you?
Yeah, I had forgotten I had moved the drive so now it is attached to a Mac Server, so it has a spotlight index ...
I presume that we are no further forward with this and that Apple has still not fixed the issue?
Has anyone else, who was in discussion with Apple, had any joy?
No word back from engineering yet. Seems to have submarined into a black hole, not so impressed with the lack of updates.
