Dashcode crashing with Lion
Has anyone else experienced Dashcode crashing with Lion and if so, have you found a fix?

Yeah I am having the same problem. I believe it's because you have to upgrade the Xcode developer tools in the Mac App Store as well once you install Lion. I am downloading Xcode 4.1 right now and will let you know what happens.
I tried everything you mentioned above and none worked for me, BUT what did work was how I was launching Dashcode. If you are one of those users that launches everything through Spotlight like me, beware. I was typing Dashcode into spotlight and hitting enter. I paid closer attention to that and realized that Apple had marked my old Dashcode like "Dashcode - Old" I was missing that. I selected the Dashcode that did not have the word "old" after it and everything fired up just fine. I also cleaned up my iPhoto at the exact same time so it may have been a combination of paying attention to both that made things work.
Hope this helps someone. Feel free to drop me a line at http://ideaengineinc.com if you have any other questions. We are looking at creating Widgets so this is new for us.
Here - creating a new user does not fix it.
Rebuilding iPhoto does not fix it.
Re-installing developer tools does not fix it.
What happens is I can sometimes open a corrupted dashcode project - corrupted in the sense that you can visually see that the buttons are not displaying in the project, but if I then open a second project - it works for a while - but randomly crashes.
On another machine, which is a Snow Leopard machine, the projects still open, and they have no corruption or any problems at all.
I am not on 4.1 - I'm on 4.2 of xcode, but - not sure that has anything to do with Dashcode, which hasn't been updated in a while and is still 3.02 of Dashcode.
Thanks, it worked for me !
I would never have though Dashcode had anything to do with iPhoto, but ok !...
If the iPhoto rebuild does not work, try renaming your 'iPhoto Library' to something else - I chose "iPhoto Library1". This will force Dashcode to skip linking to iPhoto altogether. This was the only way I got Dashcode to load.
I tried all of the suggestions. I rebuilt the iPhoto Library, I reinstalled the developer tools, I renamed my iPhoto Library, and nothing worked. What did work was moving the iPhoto Library out of the pictures folder. Not the best solution, but it works for me.
Spiro781, glenfromsydney, you just saved my life!!!!
I've got a fair few important projects underway wth dashcode and this morning couldn't open any of them. Tried all sorts of things. Never once thought it could be iPhoto. Did the rebuild trick and all is well again in the world!
Thanks so much.
Thanks spirou781! I was going nuts trying to make Dashcode work and the iPhoto repair fixed the problem =)
Thanks spirou781!
Many thanks - clearly my iPhoto library is a problem, but rebuild didn't work.
But renaming it worked like a champ!!
None of these solutions works for me: Lion 10.7.3 with XCode 4.3
Tried rebuilding / renaming iPhoto (which has all of one photo in it now that I've moved to Aperture)...a fresh user account and all other ideas presented here.
Still crash with:
Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: _dispatch_get_concurrent_queue
Referenced from: /Developer/Applications/Dashcode.app/Contents/MacOS/../Frameworks/CYKit.framewo rk/Versions/A/CYKit
Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib is present. Can't find any ideas in any other threads either. :-(

Resolved! Downloaded and installed Dashcode 3.0.3 via Xcode 4.3'
Xcode > Open Developer Tool... > More Developer Tools...
took me to this download page:
https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?name=for%20Xcode%20-
I downloaded that file and now DashCode crashes on launch for me.
I had the developer file and all the stuff that was in it and i upgraded to xcode 4.1 and now i cant use dashcode or quartz editor
I solved my issue by disableing "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps" in the General section under system preferences.
I just tried that but it still crashes. When I start DashCode I get a popup asking if I'd like to restore previous windows. If I select no, I see a window starting to animate open, then it freezes, then I see the crash reporter. If I select to restore previous windows, it crashes immediately and I go straight to crash reporter.
