Dashcode crashing with Lion
Has anyone else experienced Dashcode crashing with Lion and if so, have you found a fix?

Yeah I am having the same problem. I believe it's because you have to upgrade the Xcode developer tools in the Mac App Store as well once you install Lion. I am downloading Xcode 4.1 right now and will let you know what happens.
Ok, Folks I Think I have finally found a fix for this issue. You need to download Dashcode from the link below this version supports and is built for Mac OSX Lion. Must be an Apple registered developer to access the file.
I've tried that before, and I just tried it again to make sure. Still no joy.
Here's what appears to be relevant bits from the crash log...
Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: _IBDefaultsKeyForUIStateOfAssetCategory
Referenced from: /Applications/Dashcode.app/Contents/MacOS/../Frameworks/CYKit.framework/Version s/A/CYKit
Expected in: /Applications/Dashcode.app/Contents/Frameworks/CYKit.framework/Versions/A/../.. /../../../../../Library/PrivateFrameworks/DevToolsKit.framework/Versions/A/DevTo olsKit
Anyone have any idea what that is? Google didn't turn up anything.
Brandon,
I would imagine your running lastest version of Lion 10.7.3. Also do you have the latest version of Xcode installed? Try completely deleting Dashcode and all associated files ie; plist files, files in the library etc then attempt to reinstall from the above location.
Greetings,
Thank you all so very much.
I installed the newest version of Xcode today, and Dashcode vanished from my mac.
I have spent 9 hours searching for the dashcode download in the developers center and even as a torrent with no luck.
I found the link here on page 3... It is up and running !
Thank you all so much !
Alan
Thanks - this seems to have solved the disapearing components issue I was having.
You can use the Terminal to fix one of the issues.
$ defaults write com.apple.Dashcode NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
This will fix it on an application specific basis.
