Hi,
My solution as described above doesn't help the time machine problem.
it only solves the FILE SERVER part of your NAS trought AFP.
it also works with the SMB as I told.
but apple needs their PROPER afp protocol to activate time machine to your NAS.
LACIE just announced they are in progress creating a update which will be pushed to all NAS systems asap.
Thanks Marcel.
I hoped initially that your solution would fix the AFP issue on my Lacie NetworkSpace2 (which cannot be used anymore with Time Machine), I confirm it doesn't.
FYI, I have upgraded earlier today the NAS firmware to version 1.2.93 and I was able to connect to the NAS (Finder: Go to/Connect to server... afp://192.168.x.x) before running your recommended commands in terminal mode, meaning that the latest NAS firmware 1.2.93 may have been solved the AFP issue at least for the file server part. Something I cannot remember is if I was able to connect to the NAS in the Finder prior to upgrading the firrmware.
I have created a support ticket on Lacie support website and will let the community know any follow up on this (having in mind Lacie support is usually quite slow to answer requests...).
Cheers,
