Scroll Bar arrows Gone?
The verical scoll bar arrows are no longer there on OS X 10.7.
Any way in System prefs or Safari prefs to get them back?
Imac 20, Mac OS X (10.6.6), 10.7 installed

You're welcome. Should be close to being addressed soon.

Here's where I really miss the arrow buttons, and the scrollbar for that matter when its invisible by default. When screen-sharing with a remote Apple desktop over a slow connection all navigation commands that rely on visual feedback become cumbersome. In Finder, a mouse or touchpad will scroll too far or too short and I don't know until the screen refreshes and I see where it ended up. Same with dragging the scrollbar; I grab and start dragging and I have to wait for the screen to refresh to see if I'm in the right place. I don't see what I've missed to know if I've gone too far or not.
So the only way left to scroll a reliable distance independent of live viewing in Finder is to click in scrollbar, above or below the slider, which goes reliably 1 full screen at a time (as long as you don't set it to jump to where you've clicked). There's no longer a reliable way to scroll in smaller increments in finder. Spacebar opens the preview window (one of a few features that other OS have never come close to topping). Arrow keyboard keys move the selection up / down by one increment, does not help with navigation, especially if you're showing thumbnails instead of list view.
Doesn't make sense to me to delete the arrows and replace them with nothing. Not as unintelligent as when the OS replaced the usefulness of the colored labels with obtuse "tags." Pretty close tho.
Very old news. If they have not been returned in the last four OSXs then do not hold your breath. But give Apple feedback on your personal dissatisfaction.

Well you have been moaning about it for years and most of your other posts were deleted due to being......well...irrelevant, off topic, speculative and plain ignorant. 😉

I Agree It's Almost Impossible To Navigate Songs In iTunes Without It
Its been over four years since they disappeared. Most have managed to adjust.

Once again I am inconvenienced by the lack of arrows and wish I had brought my Dell on this trip. The Dell stinks, but it's more pleasant to use than a mac with a crippled GUI. I'm using my old MacBook Air, which should be awesome if it were functional, but it continues to be flawed by an intentional design fault that other system don't have. Why is that?
The current reason this is unpleasant is simple. I'm stuck using an apple bluetooth mouse with no scroll wheel or secondary buttons, which was fine when there was an easy and accurate 'on screen' way to navigate a window, but now there isn't and I'm dragging up and down the safari and firefox window as new ads pop up and push things around. I'm sorry, there is simply no way anybody could think this is efficient or pleasant.
I really wish apple would fix this and will continue posting here and elsewhere until a better interface is designed or or we go back to the previous better one. Nobody wishes I could stop posting here and elsewhere about this more than me.
Hi Scott. Tell Apple.

HI Scott. No news yet. Try again if the upcoming El Capatain does not bring then back. If not then after all these years you are sol.
