We'll see fanboy. If Microsoft's next incarnation follows suit you'll be right. If not... Well, they've always followed apples lead before.

Losing the arrows was not a good move. A serious adobe user would agree.

Also, I didn't say I was 'struggling' I said I don't like it. Removal of a feature isn't a feature anyway, so save the snark. I'm giving valid, helpful feedback. I wasn't requesting the opinions of the peanut gallary.

lol, well your rant attracted what it deserved. You want the scroll arrows back? Then do what has been suggested time after time after time after....................................... Tell Apple, not us!!

I missed the valid, helpful feedback somewhere within the rant.

Arrows. Bring them back. <--- the helpful feedback part. The rest is the reasoning. You brought the snark, not me. You just found out I was better at it.

Thanks for the link. That is YOUR useful contribution, and I appreciate it. You could have saved the rest.

It was posted 18 months ago and nearly every month since. No snark (whatever that is) here. You simply made the wrong presumption that you were talking to Apple instead of other users.

Good Luck

I work with very large spreadsheets, and have also found the missing scrollbars, and in particular, the lost precision of the arrows within the scrollbar to be a step backwards.

I use a Logitech Marble Mouse Trackball, which allows me to assign a "Cruise" function to the left + right mini buttons. This allows me to scroll the display up/down with a single click. See: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-pointers/trackballs/4680

Even with this device, there are times when I really miss the precision of the arrows.

Actually, I suspect apple pays attention to these threads. And clearly they've had a problem for at least 18 months, which kind of goes against you 'this isn't a problem for most people' position. What I was REALLY hoping for is to hear someone, maybe not even from apple, say: "Yes, that's a problem, here is a (third party) fix.

😕

Did not understand a word of that rant. You are getting more confused as you go. I think you believe you are still talking to Apple here though you have been told time and time again that you are not.

They are apparently doing rather well with their products according to some reports.

Cheer Up and tell Apple your problems.

Pete,

I think you are missing the point of posting in a community forum.

1. Community posts alert Apple's user community to the experiences of other users, and work-arounds.

2. Community posts are very useful for publicly showing Apple (and end-users) that a particular issue/bug affects a large number of people. Information from the community also helps to narrow down issues pertaining to configuration, applications, etc. I know from first-hand experience that Apple engineers will review community posts relevant to a reported problem, and that these community posts are very helpful to Apple.

3. Community posts do not take the place of reporting issues/bugs to Apple, which I have done on numerous occasions under my AppleCare warranties.

4. Community posts do not take the place of sending feedback to Apple, which I have also done on numerous occasions via the online reporting mechanism, and in conversations with Apple tech support staff.

5. Reporting bugs/issues to Apple via AppleCare and/or the Apple feedback page does not mean that Apple will do anything about a problem. Sometimes ongoing public pressure is required!

Best wishes to all.
