Updated to Lion and now The Sims 3 freezes. Any ideas?

Recently upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard. The sims 3 was running fine on Snow Leapord but not seems to crash and not work at all on Lion. Any ideas why?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7), Previously had Snow Leopard

Does anyone have an idea when they are going to fix this? Because I just bought the sims 3 and the town life stuff expansion pack, and I can't see me sim properly (i.e. lines in the eyes, when saving, the sim is all black, etc), when "upgraded" there is no upgrade what so ever, the game is stil the same.As in the quality is low and it has not been refined or anything; and when I try to download items from the exchange, the game just stops working. Sigh.

Cus the thing is, iI don't want to have to downgrade, cus I really like the os x lion interface and stuff... a friend of mine has the previous one, and when I use her mac, I just get angry at it. Don't ask. I'm crazy like that. But it seems that is what everyone is doing, and I am quite new at this who mac funky buisness thing (got it september 2011 with my uni), and it already had the mac os x lion thingy installed on it. -_-'

EA released an update on 9/1/11. I have lion and the sims 3 wouldn't work either. As soon as I installed the update from EA, the sims 3 started working like it was supposed to. From the discussions on EA's site people that had problems with the game before the update, now have no problems after the update. Then eventually Apple releasted OS 10.7.2, which from what I understand was some fixes to the video drivers. Which is what was causing the whole problem with the sims3 in the first place.

I urge everyone to make sure they keep the OS updated and the sims 3 updated. If you don't update sims 3, then that's your fault and not EA's fault.

I have trying to constantly update, reinstall, uninstall, reinstall, update, and so on. My computer is a 13 inch macbook pro with

Processor:

2.7 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory:

4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics:

Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Software:

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)

I haven't had any shut downs or screen freezes with my sims 3, but my sims, not anything else in the entire time, are constantly glitching out, invisible, or have zebra stripes.

And Brian, what update did you recieve? I'm pretty sure I tried updating every week or whenever there was an update and nothing has absolutely worked.

P.S. There is nothing wrong with my actual game. I can play it just fine on my HP laptop.

what update do you have for the sims?

And have you tried to install the base game and all expansions then update? That's what I had to do after I got bought pets. When I bought pets and installed it, the game would freeze again. So I uninstalled then reinstalled everything then updated and everything has worked great.

If that doesn't fix it then there must be something with the video and the Sims.

The only other thing I would recomend would be to talk with Apple.
