I just got the new MacAir and wanted to copy files from MacBookPro via USB drive.
Anytime I copy files from the drive to Air, the file dissapears (literally) as soon as copy complets.
The size or content does not matter.
I can not copy dmg, but can mout the same from USB drive and install applications.
Any ideas?

Had the same problem. Now resolved. The flash drive must be formatted as a "exFat" drive.
On the iMac open: Finder > Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Select the flashdrive. Format the drive as exFat. Default size.
On the PC: Start > Computer > Select the flash drive. Right click > select Format > select exFat > Default size.
Worked for me!! := )
What also worked for me was to erase the pen using the MS-DOS Format, i could copy all the required files to the pen. And it is recognised on the windows PC.
