After installing Lion, my exchange account won't connect in Mac Mail. I tried connecting through OWA and Entourage and they both worked fine. I'd really like to use Mac Mail instead of Entourage so I'm trying to figure the problem. Any ideas why exchange won't work in Mac Mail?
I've already reinstalled OS X Lion.

I have the mail app working with Exchange 2010. I read this somewhere, tried the same approach and it worked.
The trick is to NOT set up the exchange account through mail.app's wizard.
Instead, go to system preferences->mail, contacts & calendar. Select exchange and do it from there. The autodiscover did everything, I did not even had to manually set up my account.
I was not able to set up from the mail.app's wizard at all.
For exchange 2003, I think it only works with IMAP (or so I have heard).
Wastate, I've recently started using Davmail in order to access email via Exchange 2003. It works most of the time but some emails are not getting through - tends to be ones with attachments. Very annoying that my iPhone 4 mail client works seamlessly with Exchange 2003 and Mail doesn't!

Ricker911, thanks for the idea. Having the exact same problem from my work computer (iMac, 10.7.3, etc) and an Exchange 2010 mail server. Your idea unfortunately didn't work for me.
But questions for anyone:
Does Exchange 2010 use SSL? What port should it look at?
What is the 'internal server path' for an Exchange server?
