DO NOT UPGRADE TO LION!

Lion may well turn into to Apple's Vista. I've used Apple products since 1981, and I've never experienced anything like this. The so-called upgrade has so far:

1. Broken Mail and all it's contents. No obvious solution that doesn't result in losing all folders.

2. Time Capsule, by virtue of a complete new backup of the HD, eliminates most history as there typically isn't sufficient memory for the doubling up. NO WARNINGS. Just gone.

3. Applications that don't play nice with Lion (PPC apps, Adobe apps, Microsoft apps) are just eliminated when a TC restore is done following the upgrade.

4. Apparently going back to Snow Leopard is problematic, if even possible.

I hate that I didn't wait. What an idiot.

Thanks for the advice. However if you had read my post you would have learned that I did not do the install. Apple employees did the install and argued against my request for a clean install.

You are right though, this thread is a drag and of no help because the sniping overshadows any beneficial information being offered. It is too distracting. (Although, I did get a nice offer for help from Carlo TD, which is much appreciated but alas, I've already reformatted that machine).

I apologize profusely for not taking sufficient note of the date the thread was started, but only that the topic was still under discussion as of today. I did not realize the thread was "closed" given it is open and people are posting to it.

I apologize for not knowing the arbitrary personal preferences established by a user such as yourself, and for not respecting your self-appointed territory.

I do want to thank you for doing what you could to respond in such a gracious manner that your advice came across as generous and welcoming. Not.

Adios, and try to get a life that brings you more pleasure so you can learn to communicate in a less condescending manner.

He just said he is no longer having all of those problems.

Like I said Apple employees installed Lion on my MBP, but you missed that too.

I agree with him about the attitude expressed under the guise of being helpful, and if your bothered by people still using this thread to communicate their problems, stop reading it! How's that for a plan?

Then go away, because I can't find a post from you that is helpful, only belittling and rude, arguing over irrelevant things. That is trolling. Now that this is a yawn for you, no point in your coming back, is there?

Hmmm, you probably don't even own Macs but just come here to troll, so even communicating with you is a waste of time. So...

Mountainrivers posted seven consecutive comments. It's a form of trolling to make the thread look more commented on that it really is. Either that or he has a rather slow afterthought process. Between him and his offsides here, it's the only. Oise being made in this thread. Even the OP has finished up the thread and has moved on. Some people just need an old dead thread to rant in.

Cheers
