Mac OS X v10.7 Lion always boot into safe boot after upgrade?

I don't understand, is your suggestion to turn on mouse and keyboard before the iMac? I always turn on mouse and keyboard before computer and safe-mode comes up all the times.

I tried to turn on iMac before the bt parts, but the problem is still the same.

I'm not sure about a keyboard error.

The problem seems to occour if keyboard and iMac are switched on with only a few seconds between.

I just tried it again, three times in a row i put on my iMac and my keybord :

- iMac / 2sec / keyboard

- keyboard / 2sec / iMac

- iMac / 0sec / keyboard

All three times i run into safe mode

The fourth time i did it this way :

- keyboard / 15sec / iMac

=> normal Boot

by the way the keyboard LED was flashing while boot, this did'nt happen the first three time

So the solution is : Apple, fix it !

Meanwhile :

a) do not swicht off the iMac

b) do not swicht off the keyboard

c) switch on keyboard after boot

d) switch on keybord 15sec before iMac

... I will choose c)

The new update to lion 10.7.1 doesn't fix the problem!

The exact same happens to me:

Every single time I turn on my iMac and in the next 5 seconds I turn on the magic mouse and/or keyboard I ALWAYS get into safe mode.

SOLUTION: turn on imac then, when I see the desktop, I turn on my keboard and MM.

HOPE APPLE FIX THIS!!!

I think i got it :

The progressbar while booting ( booting in safe-mode ) came from the wireless keybord and is reproduceable.

At evening I shut down my iMac an put off my mouse and keyboard. To startup I put on the iMac and immediatly after I switch on keyboard and mouse. In tihs case the keyboards sends some event wich leads to safe-mode.

Know I wait until I switch on the keyboard. In my opinion this is a bug, i can live this way but i hope it will be fixed.

I will know take a look at it while not switching off the keybord, power consumption should be acceptable

I had the same problem, my iMac 27" consistently started up in safe mode. I made a reset of the PRAM, http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.7/en/mh26871.html, and that solved everything to me.

Hi, I've just bought an iMac 27'' and I have the same problem as you described (with the keyboard and Safe Mode). Have any of you found any solution to this?

I don't have that iMac anymore, but when turning it on, wait until after you see the Apple logo during start up to turn on your keyboard. Then it should be fine. Or you could alternately choose to not switch off the keyboard when you turn off the computer, so that the keyboard is still on the next time you start the iMac.

I'm doing that now, however, I was hoping that there is some solution now.
