Lion freeze when browsing webpage

I purchased a new 27' iMac two months ago. I upgraded to Lion yesterday. Everything went well until today when I browsed a Chinese website (www.6park.com) using Safari, the computer freezed. I noticed the freezing happened when the webpage contains some pictures or videos (but it didn't always freeze when there are pictures or videos). I can move my cursor but the system had no responsive no matter where I clicked, or no matter which key I stroke. I had to do a hard reboot (using power button). But it will freeze again after some time. This is the website I regular visited for news and postings. I never had this problem in Snow Leopard.

Do you have any idea what can be the problem? Thanks a lot!

I have brand new MacBook Pro 2.3 Ghz that I have installed a 512GB SSD and 8GB of LifeTime RAM in. Whenever I browser, open Address Book, scroll through previews in Lightroom or other, one or more programs freeze. I can move the cursor but have to wait for 10-60 seconds before the system responds normally. If I click on several windows during the freeze, the system wil respond to those clicks when it wakes up again.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I spoke with Apple Support about this and they had NEVER heard of this issue .. ha ha.

Anyways, so it is not my RAM or my SSD, and it's not my System install I have to look at.

For me it seems like a reading/saving thing, perhaps related to the video RAM as it usually involves reading/writing of creating a preview/screen image of something.

But an update will solve it, I guess.

It\s the way they do. It was the same when the iPhone3 went useless slow when IOS4 came out. No comment whatsoever for five/six weeks, then an update.

It seems the 10.7.1 made it happens a little less, but I still have it with any appliaction I open (Mail, Address Book, Lightroom, Finder ...). Also had issues with iTunes, but not related to that alone.

To freeze or not to freeze

It looks like the Lion freeze, keyboard, trackpad and the mouse are dead. (my keyboard is wired, the other two are wireless). BUT

my Wacom board IS WORKING.

I can't type but i Can close my apps and save my docs.

This is for Apple software group.

When people belive the Lion is frozen, the Lion has just lost connection to keyboard, trackpad and the mouse.
