Dear all,

I hope Apple with fix this bug on the next version of iCal.

iCal Version 5.0.1 (1547.4) is bugged!

iCal crash in Lion (EXC_BAD_ACCESS) when there is more than one CalDAV accounts (2 Google calendar accounts). If you've 2 accounts, when you start iCal, just after the update/sync, iCal crash.

Now if you disconnect one calendar, these crahes do not exist.

If one guy can help me to better bypass this bug, will be great.

Regards.

Philippe.

I agree–there is a bug with this version of iCal. My iCal crashes on launch repeatedly until eventually staying open.

I tried every trick in the book–totally wiped out all my iCal user data and re-created each of my calendars one by one. iCal was stable again until I added a Google account with delegated calendars; then it started crashing again. I agree, it's tied to CalDav and possibly delegation.

Please fix this bug in the 10.7.3 release!

Anybody still having problems after the 10.7.3 update? I'm not, not anymore! 🙂 I think somebody mentioned something about purchasing 'BusyCal', while BusyCal seems to be a great program, I would much rather stick to iCal and not spend extra money on a third party app. iCal is working great now, I have multiple Google calendars and subscriptions. Everything is in working order and most importantly, NO MORE CRASHES!

Last week i completely reinstalled 10.7.5 on an OWC SSD. All very well and speedy. Have been a mobileme/iCloud member from day one, never had any issues.

But just the other day suddenly my iCal broke. I tried all of the above: all the caches, the prefs, no internet, i even swapped the app. Nothing. My iCal is dead and crashes every single time: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)

So Very Annoying, Apple!

After spending several hours with it i'm done and now i use the online iCloud version. Sadly, Busycal is not for me, i'm on a Mac Pro 1,1 and 10.7 is my limit.

I did however reboot my previous OS and iCal was still doing fine on that. So this is definitely a corruption in my user account.

Anyone? I'd like to get this fixed somehow...this is not supposed to happen on a native OSX application.

Hello MadisonP,

I know I'm 2+ years behind. Just installed Lion, the latest one I can install. Now ical won't work. Says it's upgrading but never finishes, must force quit. I saw your solution, sorry but dont' know how to get to home> library etc. Did n't there used to be a library folder with cache etc. Where is that in finder now.

I will upgrade this year but for now, I use ical all day every day for my business.

thanks,

Scott
