I purchased Mac OSX Lion from Apple store which came with Facetime, I can't login to FaceTime, it shows an error, "can't signin. Plz check your network connection and try again". Can anyone help ?

Go to your system preferences → network → make sure WI-FI selected → advanced → DNS tab. Add 8.8.8.8 to the DNS servers. Go back to FaceTime and try to verify your account again. Let me know if that works.

Edit my previous post: iMac is incorrect: should be mini (sorry).
Also I am in the Netherlands. Does that make a difference maybe?

This did not work for me. I'm so frustrated! I wish I hadn't upgraded. Trying to facetime with my boyfriend on my phone just isn't cutting it for me! Please help!
It worked for me after I put in the serial number it was a refurbished mac and serial number was not showing
Where can I find that?
