After Installing OS X Lion iMac freezes while watching flash videos!

I just recently purchased a 21.5 inch iMac and since I updated to OS X Lion it seems that for the most part when I begin to watch a flash based video, such as youtube or other websites the iMac completely freezes, the only movement is from the mouse. I can't even force quit. This only began when Lion was installed. Is it the machine or Lion, I don't want to take my iMac to an apple store for them to tell me it's the software. Anybody else having this issue?

I fully agree with you: it's a shame to sell such an awful update!

Since first installation (i made 3 of them!!!) i had problems: now my 24" 2008 imac freezes when i watch a film (randomly) or when it has to deal with my external hd. I had to put down indexation because spotlight was doing such a boring job that i couldn't use my pc (i typed the sudo mdutil -a -i off in terminal).

The strange thing is that CPU or memory use don't seem to be overwhelmed (of course Firefox still too greedy in ressources but it's not all about him): i really don't get where the probles come from 😠

I wait for next update that should came quickly and if it doesn't work as it should i go back to Snow Leopard which was really a great OS.

Very disappointed by Apple, Vista was a joke in front of such a disaster (it's really impossible to work on a Lion based pc!).

If Jobs were still alive Lion's team would be fired... 👿
