I think you are making a few poor assumptions. I'm very new at researching Apple issues since I'm very new at owning a Mac. I'm very new at "looking into" issues, whether in this Discussion forum or anywhere else on the freaking internet. No idea what has you bent about my word research but whatever.

And points? I don't know what points are for, why I would care about them, or why I need to know. Probably another assumption you made but I don't know. Just as you didn't know any of this.

Are you asking me to list all of the places I went to where I found information that I thought was good? Nope, no time for that. I just thought that this thread had a lot of opinions about Apple's direction (which is valuable to whoever wants to read it) but I felt it was a challege to find the answer to the title of this thread.

It's simple really:

If you are going to quote somebody else's post or user tip, in whole or in part, it is considered good forum etiquette (i.e. polite) to state the author of the post or user tip you have quoted from, or provide a link to the original.

Similarly, if you quote from a book you would state who the author is.
