Media Keys on keyboard not working with iTunes 10.4.0.80

This corrected my problem with the Logitech MX5500 keyboard media keys not working in iTunes.

Used the ITWindows work around to get my MK710 combo working again but with the latest iTunes update (10.5.1.42) I'm back to square one....

Please advise...

Nevermind, updated Setpoint to version 6.32 and all is working as it should... 😊

I have been looking for a hotkey fix forever! (I mean since I updated Itunes of course.)

apple ***** with its support responses, and if you don't have a mac they could care less.

This program is exactly what I was looking for, full customization!

I was using the yahoo widgets, which is dysfunctional.

If I wasn't broke I wold donate to their cause.

Willy Is Right! Worked For Me

I had a problem with keys not working outside the iTunes window. When its active (in focus), fine, not active, not working. I end up uninstalling Windows Media Player. Now it works. If you don't need wmp, remove it, it will work.

This fixed it for me

I own a MX5500 keyboard and have SetPoint 6.30.41 with driver 5.30.67 installed. I had the same problem with multimedia keys not working with my iTunes.

I think i have found a solution which works for me. I googled a bit arround and read some posts about people haveing the same issues with other programs not only itunes.

Following some suggestion i seem to have found a solution for the problem and my play/pause, next and previous buttons work with iTunes 10.4.1

- You need to open a text editor (like notepad) as an administrator.

- Open the SetPoint players.ini file (C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\players.ini)

- Edit the line under the [Players] section to match the line bellow (bold is the wndClass which is to be changed)

iTunes=wac,iTunes.exe,ITWindow,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,0,1,iTunes

- Save the file

- Restart the SetPoint and hopefully play/pause, next and previous buttons should work (at least they work for me)

This worked for me when iTunes upgraded to 12.3 and the media buttons on my Logitech K360 stop working.

In iTunes Go to Preferences > Advanced And enable "Show iTunes icon in system tray" This made my media keys work while in other apps.

I also restarted the Bonjour Service by pressing the windows key and searching for "Services" then press B until Bonjour service is highlighted and make sure that it is started.

If you do not use Google Play Music then ignore this step.

Go to Chrome then Settings > Extensions > Keyboard Shortcuts (At the bottom)

and make sure the sound controls are set to "Global"
