Slow internet after Lion OS X Upgrade

Note: OS X does not store network settings in NVRAM / PRAM. If you are troubleshooting a network issue, resetting it will not help.

You may want to write down what boxes or circled items are filled in prior to starting this procedure. Click onto System Preferences, New screen will pop up - Click onto Flash Player lower left of window. New screen again - Look to upper right of page Click onto Advanced Box. Scroll down to to 2nd paragraph and put a dot in the circle for, Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended). Click on to box below - that says Check Now, Follow directions and procedures that Adobe presents to you, This should take 10 to 15 minutes of your time. I was having about the same problem as you and this took care of it. My Flash Player is now running the most resent speed for June 6th, 2013.

I had this problem on my MBRr early 2013. Was reading all week looking for a fix before I found out what it was, It was my Galaxy S4 blocking it somehow.

Whenever I have my Galaxy S4 logged onto my home network my Macbook Pro Retina slows down and cuts off every now and then, so what I suggest to people before they follow other methods is to log everything off your network includind all phones and then restart you macbook.

Hopefully somebody this works for other people as I know how frustrating this can be, mine was only a week old and was totally stressing after paying out £2700 on my first mac, I was starting to regret it but now everything is fine although it does get pretty hot when streaming movies haha but that's another story.

Is there a fix? My connection with my PC on the SAME network is 100% fine. Once my MacBook Pro with Lion is booted, the connection goes to less than 5%.This is simply UNACCEPTABLE of Apple. Perhaps Tim Cook should be more concerned about actually MANAGING Apple and not promoting LBGT issues....................
