Hotmail attachment - 'id has bad format'

OMG! i didn't do 1 and 2 but 3 worked for me in less than 2 minutes thanks a bunch.

Removed Silverlight - bingo. Next thing you know, ol' Jed is a millionaire. THANKS!

thanks for all, uninstalling silverlight works fine for me and it seem to be the only way to solve the problem. Now i search a solution to solve the problem with silverlight intsalled.

Installing the newest silverlight version seemed to have worked for me. They may have corrected something on their software since then!

good job sydneygirl1.....before removing silverlight, deleting the spaces worked for the attachments. after deleting silverlight, no need to delete the spaces.

Was about to ditch Silverlight like everyone else - don't think I've ever needed it 🙂

But just thought I'd try the latest version as "haramou" suggested & seems to be working fine now (1 attachment to 1 email later 😉)

I did like bentdiver80 did, i tried the latest version of Silverlight and voila, no more problems of attachments with hotmail.

I experienced this similar frustrating problem and tried everything (removing programs, deleting Silverlight, etc). Then by default, I had to fix what I thought was a router problem and had to reset Safari (option on Safari, click, Reset Safari) and to my chagrin my hotmail account now uploads attachments, no error message, and life is good.
