With iTunes 10.4 I can access iTunes store

I downloaded version 10.4 of iTunes and I cannot get access to iTunes store. Synchronization also is too slow.

Last night I spent 3hrs to uninstall all Apple related softwares, clear all Apple software folders, restarted my pc then reinstall iTunes & Quicktime...finally, I can access iTunes store, sync and back up my iPhone and iPad.😁 I don't know why when new version released, why Apple didn't mention that we have to uninstall all Apple softwares and reinstall the latest version?😕

Glad that my solution helped some of you. I really wish I knew how to help the rest of you with this issue. I know it's extremely frustrating and Apple isn't lifting a finger to help. My only suggestion is to keep searching the forums and maybe as a last resort call Apple tech support. (That last bit almost made me laugh). Seriously, though, hope you find a solution. Good luck.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fix that MTG68 offers is the PERFECT fix for this problem! I cannot tell you how many times I unloaded all of the Apple software (iTunes, MobileMe, Bonjour, ect) to fix this problem and NOTHING worked. I tried this solution as a 'last ditch" effort and it worked perfectly! I can now see the iTunes store again (whew!), I can backup my iphone 4 again (that was SO frustrating!) and my MobileMe now works again with my Outlook 2010! THANK YOU again for this solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem on my on my windows 7 64 bit version with itunes 10.5. After waiting forever on the phone with APPLE ITUNES support which was a waste of time I followed the directions on this feedback forum and it brought my itunes back to normal. To think I spent weeks trying to figure this problem. When in doubt GOOGLE your problem. A BIG THANK YOU TO USER: "LOCARB". By the way whilst the APPLE technician was talking to me i accidentally said "****" on the phone cause i was suprised of how easy the resolution was that they could not provide and he advised me cause i swore he had to terminate the call. Complete incompetence.. another justification for a lack of education...
