Same here. I was keen on this one. Stylish and simple: now it's gone. Got the same thing with Frontrow. Come one guys don't Bill me the Gates. You're better than this.
doesnt for me too downloaded lion work for to days then just the clock only Help
great try well done they told me it was a server at there end which made me laugh eh but i have faith they will have a download soon hopfully den426
I am with Dennis on this issue. Have had Lion and upgraded since it was released. Used Word of the Day as a screensaver and added the visible clock option. ONLY the clock was visible and this occurred between yesterday and today. As a matter of fact, it appears as if the operating system is shutting down my system as well. So, now I am experimenting with another standard screensaver and will check on it within 1/2 hour. I suspect that it's a server as well. Think Lewis might be correct with respect to lack of communication with the Dictionary.app. However, I know that's regulated by a server.
Yes, I've experienced the same problem. It would be a shame if Apple didn't make sure that this functionality was sustained.
[BUMP] Same issues after upgrade to Lion. My Vocabulary Skill has decreased by 1.
Broken on a current-model iMac upgraded to 10.7.1 from 10.6.8 today. 😟
So far, I'm not a fan of Lion. Resume has to be the most ill conceived 'feature' ever.
Hi.
The consol shows there is an error with some array index value.

My MBP shipped/delivered last week, WOTD never worked...
My previous 2009 model MBP WOTD always worked just fine up until I upgraded it to Lion

No. This is a user to user support forum. If you want to report a bug you can do so at:
It's a well known bug and I surmise Apple already knows about it.
This is really annoying being that we all know that it's the best screensaver. Best workaround for the moment would be to use the RSS visualizer to get a word of the day feed such as wiktionary's
feed://toolserver.org/~enwikt/wotd/
My MBA came with Lion pre-installed and the WOTD sceeensaver is listed but it doesn't work. Seems like a feeble excuse to say that its not supported as its shipped with new machines!
It definitely worked about a week or two for me after I got my new MBA in early August with Lion pre-installed but then it suddenly stopped working. I don't think this was related to a system update but I'm not too sure.
I was wondering why there was just a black screen when I came back and searched for some monitor power settings but then noticed the screensaver stopped working...
After installing the new Thunderbolt update it's working again (don't know if it actually has something to do with it)!
Confirmed - working again!
Unfortunately I updated Thunderbolt as well, so I don't know if it's related.
