Stuck at "checking midi servers" in startup screen in Logic express. OS X Lion

I've recently updated to the new Lion, and all off sudden, I can't open my Logic Express anymore. It gets stuck in the loading screen at "checking midi drivers". Does anyone know how to solve this?

Logic Studio, Mac OS X (10.7)

I am having the same issue with this and GarageBand. You should go to the website of the midi device maker to download the most recent driver, my issue is there aren't any for Lion yet. Whether or not they're plugged in I can't use my programs, I have GarageBand '09 and will update if that will resolve the issues but if not then I definitely won't. I'm thinking about going back to Snow Leopard because I can't open Pro Tools or Digital Performer either so I have no working audio production programs which is a shame because I like Lion. Anyone know about uninstalling the device drivers? I can't even load the midi setup so I'm up a creek without a paddle.

I've done the same to no avail... It's interesting because (along with an Oxygen 8 and a MPD18 controller) I also have the Mbox2 mini, but it's not a problem with that because it works as an audio output (most of the time, reinstall and restart if it's not). I'm uneasy because I recently purchased the upgrade to pro but am not installing it until this is resolved. I'm thinking of going to Library > Audio > Midi Drivers and deleting everything there but don't want to cause any further complications.

Oh yeah, I've definitely restarted and backed up everything and would also recommend it. I was just pointing out how simple it was, once I cleared the folder the applications started right up.

I was hesitant to delete the drivers but truthfully, none of them were even necessary to my midi controllers and you don't have to automaticlly delete them, just removing them from the folder was all that it needed.
