Clicking Finder Icon in Dock Doesn't Open New Finder Window

On my MBP with Lion, the left clicking the finder icon does nothing. It doesn't even change the menu bar focus to finder. I can right click and then open a new window. This works like I am accustomed to on my MBP with Lion.

Any ideas to fix this?

Thanks,

Geraldo.

Thank's Paulo. That command solve my problem.

The thing in deleting the plist files is that don't work for the majority. When i try that, the system automatically create another from the backup system or Time Machine (i don't know for sure where). That occurs instantly, and i do not have time to reboot faster than that. so the config stay with the same problem.

But this command line sove the problem, and i think will be the 100% remedy for every one with it until the next update.

Thank you!

Thanks Paul. Your solution really helped me out. My Finder Window must have corrupted the plist file after I lost connection with a drive from my remote computer. I've been having the same problem for a couple of times and thanks to your solution, I could rescue Finder every time it had trouble. When clicking the Finder giving me no window, however, clicking the Trash icon does pop up the its window. Hopefully, this problem will be solved in the future release. I don't want Finder Preference got reset every time this problem happens.
