Can not connect to the iTunes Store from within the iTunes program on my PC. Using iTunes 10.4 on a XP Sp3 system. Everything worked fine until a few days ago. Now the iTunes Store (Store) will not open. Tried rollback, disabling firewall, anti-virus etc. Not working. iTUnes Diagnostic says I can connect to the net but the screen remains blank, except "No connection to firmware update server" is listed in the Diagnostic.
Sweet, glad its back to normal now.
You should be fine to update whenever new stuff comes out, I bet this was a one time deal. If not, someone on these forums probably knows what happened.
I'm glad someone in this forum did, Apple Support was clueless. No d--m help at all, only run-around, go here, read this. Great waste of time and typing.

Safari is causing the problem! After uninstalling all Apple programs and installing them again, iTune worked fine, but when I installed Safari, itune did not connect to the store. I did the procedure again, but this time without installing safari, itune works fine. So Apple fix Safari plz.

You might be able to fix it by running "netsh winsock reset" from the command promp.
Note that the command prompt must be run in Administrator mode. I ran "netsh winsock reset" and performed the required restart, and it cleared my problem right up.
