What I have done is when you get the next call you
want to block just make a new contact.
"First Name" = Junk
"Last Name = Do not answer
Give it a different ring tone.
Then just add to the junk contact every phone number you don't
Want to answer I think you can have unlimited contact numbers.
Then when one of them calls you will no it's junk and don't answer or
Add more numbers to the "Junk do not answer" contact.
my HTC has a "block" function.
The is an easier way of stopping the unwanted numbers ringing on your iphone5. Turn the Do not disturb button to on. Then go into notification and then click on the right facing arrow next to DO Not Disturb tab once you have done that and go on to the next page. you can change "Allow calls from"**Everyone **No One** Favourites ** All contacts, if you click the "All contacts" then only people in your contacts, will you be able to hear when they phone you. all others will be silenced
I tried this as you suggest Rhinoiphone, but then I don't get notifications from my contacts via text message or things like Whatsapp. As others have said, I too used to have another phone (Nokia) that would allow me to select "block number" and any future calls would effectively be blocked (as far as I knew anyway). Please Apple, make this a possibility. Thanks!
you can contact the carrier, some times they can block incoming calls and texts
Not only does the samsung galaxy have that option but it doesn't just send the caller to voicemail. Any number calling me that is on the blacklist they receive a beeping sound no voicemail no nothing.

You know, it's seriously frustrating I can't seem to block any numbers from calling me on my IPhone. It's 3GS. I even wanted to resort to buying an IPhone 4 and jailbreak it to get the blocker. Youmail is not available in Singapore, which I reside. Is there any way I can block unwanted incoming calls? Without jailbreaking my phone? If you jailbreak your phone, are you able to "un-jailbreak" it? And what bad things will happen after you jailbreak? Which I'm afraid of.
iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1.2
I have this question too (0) Reply Categories: Phone and Messaging, Apps, Basics Tags: none (add)
If you had actually read this thread, you would know the answer to this question.
Discussing jailbreaking is forbidden here by the terms of service here.
Jailbreaking permanently voids any warranty and forfeits all rights to support.
That means what? Apple won't support me after I jailbreak? I have no intention of wanting to jailbreak.
What other options then Youmail or any other apps I can have to block a certain number from calling me?
You asked if you were able to "un-jailbreak" a phone after you jailbreak it. That can NOT be discussed.
As for blocking specific callers, NO APP can block calls. ONLY the carrier can completely block calls. You can set a silent ringtone for specific callers if you want so you don't have to hear it ring, but you can not block calls on the phone AT ALL.
On my iPhone 5s you go into Settings>Phone>Blocked>Add New. Then, select your desired contact(s)

At the time this thread was last active, that was not an option.
