App Store broken

While it was working earlier today, currently the app store app on my iPhone and iPad are both not working correctly.

On the iPhone, it keeps asking me to reenable Genius over and over again and I can't use the "update all" button (it doesn't do anything). Also the past purchases screen only shows one page worth of apps and apps I bought are showing a price on the top ten page. On my iPad I can turn on Genius, but the page is blank as is the past purchases page. Also the layout is wrong on some pages. On both devices, some pages have a sign in button that doesn't work and most screens are missing the back arrow such that I get stuck on certain screens (like updates and genius on the iPhone). App icons are also missing and some pages randomly never display.

Basically the store isn't working correctly, though I can download updates and new apps by searching for the app.

Anyone else having problems?

iPad 2, Other OS, iOS 4.3.5

iOS 4.3.3? Smart move, it is a better OS in terms of performance for the 3GS.

thank you tpulak, i like performance of iOS 4.3.3 on 3GS so far ...

it acts a bit less responcive when locking unlocking the sreen , but for the rest all works fine.

just have to watch that there

are not to many apps are running in a background 😉

wonder if i should attempt to run iOS 5 . x. x on it at all

or will it be even more slow and unresponcive than 4.3.3?

Compared to OS 3, I think 4.3.3 is a little slower. It takes up more ram also. I think animations tend to stutter a bit too.

iOS 5 looks to be smooth, but it takes up a huge amount of ram. When I checked, it was roughly 100 mb of ram free, whereas on 4.1, I had 170!!

This is the reason why I downgraded back to iOS 4 🙂 I advise you to stay on iOS 4 if you use a lot of tweaks on your phone, if you know what I mean 😉

I'm having problems too, it says that the app store is not connected and it won't diwnload apps, but Internet and text works.

The same thing happened to me, the sad thing is that I just got mi iPad 2, and was in the middle of configuring and downloading all the apps from my current iPhone! How will we know when everything is fixed?

I am having trouble using the App Store on my iPad. The past purchases screen shows nothing and very rarely, when trying to rate an app I own, the app store thinks I don't have it.

Different issue, long ago resolved. If you check the forum you will see numerous threads on the current purchased page display failure.

This is a new problem that appears consistently across two iPhone 5's running iOS 6- new conditions for the iOS App Store require acceptance of terms that, once accepted, leave the user in an endless loop of acceptance dialog box, with no escape - is anyone else experiencing this tonight in the US?

Update! The bug has apparently just been squashed- tried an update to several apps just now, and all went well. Fast work on Apple's part - Thanks for the fix!
