Out of a sudden, many conversations deleted from my Viber in my ipod, I didnt update or format my device. and after that I tried to communicate with the same contacts
their sms deleted, viber didnt work,
I can write but not sending, and when they write me back, i can see there is a new sms from them but i cannot read it. it shows me blank page.
I really need my sms history back if there is anyway.

Just FYI. I'm having the same problems as vtech88. (iPhone 4SiOS 5.0.1) I get a text message notification on my home screen but as soon as I unlock my phone, the message disappears. The only messages that appear in my message history are messages that I have sent.

Same problem as Vtech88 & HDSoCal (IPhone 3GS IOS 5.0.1) Messages appear in notifications but disappear when attempting to open Viber. What is the fix ETA?

I have the exact same problem and it is now Feb, I was hoping the latest update would fix the problem however it has not. Iphone 4S, latest viber version 2.1.4.731.
I see notifications of viber message in the home screen and when I open Viber there is nothing there. I am afraid if it is not fixed soon I will have to use Whatsapp for messaging and get my contacts to do the same as Viber is not currently a reliable service.
Can I please get some assistance from The Viber support team on this as there is no option on your website to contact Viber directly with technical issues.

As far as we know (and were repoted by our users), the problem has been fully fixed in 2.1.4
Please makre sure both you and the sender of the message have the latest version of Viber installed from AppStore.
If this still doesn't help, try uninstalling Viber and reinstalling on both phones (however - note that this will cause deletion of your message history)
Still doing it and I believe everyting is up to date...Viber 3.1.3 updated yesterday...iphone 4S version 6.1.3 (10B329) over ATT 14.2
Just happened to me as well. I didn't reinstall. Got an alert that I had a new message, went to read it and it asked me to setup Viber. I lost all my messages. Never got to see the new message that was sent.
Hey, the same thing happened to me today! I had some very important messages i was even going to back up today. Than Viber crashed And everything was gone. Even all the stickers. I wrote to "Viber support teem" but they were not supportive at all! I didn't even receive an apology! I see now that happened to a lot of people. I wish I knew sooner and deleted the account. 😟 i'll stick to whatsapp and FB messenger from now on.
