App Store is just a blank page

I open the iTunes store, the music store loads fine, so do all the other stores except the app store -- I get a blank screen. No error code, no pop up, just a blank space where the App Store should be. If I look up an app in my Firefox browser, I can hit the "view in iTunes link" and see the app in iTunes and even download it. If I click on the category the app is in (like "Games"), I get a blank screen again. I'm running Win 7 home premium 64 bit, my DSL is running fine, otherwise (surfing, Spotify, YouTube, Netflix...).

Anyone else having the same problem? Apple tells me it's not on their end. Should I reinstall iTunes?

Windows XP

I uninstalled Apple Application Support, uninstalled iTunes, then reinstalled iTunes.

This seems to have solved the problem.

Once you uninstall application support, -- don't panic -- you will not be able to run iTunes. Once you remove and reinstall iTunes, application support is restored as well.

Good Luck.

This procedure also worked for me.... Windows 7 64bit.

This has to be fixed by apple, and no with workarround. First, it doesn't work for all, second, for those who it is working for them, you'll never know when this will appear again.

It is for sure a huge bug from apple that they should address for their customers, instead of asking them to uninstall/install.... This hastle is not to their customer, but to their R&D to issue a fix asap.

Hey, eventually it is for their own profit... if appstore is not accessible, how can they upsale?

CORRECT SOLUTION (by AppleTeam )

1- Uninstall the old version of itunes you have (or just uninstall iTunes if you are already running 10.4.0.80

2- Uninstall Quicktime also

3- Uninstall Apple software update

4- Uninstall Apple mobile device support

5- Uninstall Bonjour

6- Uninstall Apple application support

(I would shutdown wait 20 seconds then fire up the computer at this point and then come back and install itunes)

7- Reinstall iTunes 10.4.0.80

Apple Tech said you HAVE to uninstall in this order. After I did this, the App Store started working correctly.

This is outrageous !

They are actually stating that there is a problem, asking you to remove all their software, and actualy install the same software again, no fix, no patch , nothing. just reisntall a piece of software that was working fine until a few days ago...

This is probably a practice that you will have to do every while and then... who knows... instead of fixing the problem, they are waisitng the customer's time.

I think that it is better just not to buy anything from itunes store, maybe then, they will understand they have actually need to fix this.

Since everything is working, then i don't see the need to go through this "VIA DOLOROSA" (which cannot be proven that it will actually fix this, or that it will not come back) just to spend money on the store. I can always search for what i need only, and make the purchase.
