After installin new v. of iTunes (6.0.2.23) it crashes when updating iPOD

After installing update of iTunes today I found that it crashes whenever I try to update my iPOD. Have tried the following
-reboot computer
-reinstall iTunes
-reset iPOD

Any suggestions?

I just installed the new version of itunes on my computer and now itunes will not open. I followed the steps in the support, but it will not work. Can someone please help me, what do i do?

I am back in business on 6.0.1.3. Everyone should stay away from 6.0.2.23.
