Same here in CA, Apple TV 2, have been watching Mad Men on netflix with no issue until today. I'm up to season 4, but now I get that message when selecting the show, but only with Mad Men. I've tried restarting the Apple TV 2, and I've tried signing out and then back in to Netflix, but no change.

Streaming Mad Men works fine in Safari though.

    Very strange

Same thing tonight with Mad Men in SoCal.  Thanks to everyone for chiming in, and saving my sanity!

I just called and they told me it was pulled while they work on it. He seemed to know about the issue and said it would stream on all other devices. I asked about Mad Men on apple tv.

Check Twitter, this is widespread.  Appears to be a Netflix issue.

Not to flog a dead horse, but I'm having the same problem with Mad Men here in Portland, Oregon. It worked fine until last night. Also having the problem with Man vs. Wild.

Same problem here in VA last night and this AM. Weird thing is this: if I go to my Panasonic BluRay box and select Mad Men from my Netflix account there it finds where I left off and plays flawlessly. This is definitely an AppleTV/Netflix problem in light of those who already posted it plays fine on browsers and iOS devices.

Same problem in Canada but with Community.

I tried viewing Mad Men too (haven't watched before) and it let me start playing an episode. After watching for a few minutes I backed out to the menu and tried to resume from the Recently Watched list where I received the "Netflix is currently unavailable message".

Checked a few TV series but the only ones broken for me (so far) are Community and Mad Men.

After waiting a day to see why we're all having a problem trying to watch Mad Men on Apple TV, I finally called Netflix.  I just hung up the phone with Netflix customer service and they have been fully aware of the problem for the last day and a half.  Apparently, a faulty error message "600" or "Nextflix is unavailable. Try again later."

message is being sent to TV screens for people using Apple TV or Sony devices (I assume she meant Playstation).  The message is being created due to electronic communication between Netflix and Apple TV believing the cache memory is full therefore making Mad Men unavailable.  I didn't ask why this would only happen to Mad Men only becasue all other shows were working for me.  The Netflix rep said engineers are currently working on the problem and it should be resolved "shortly".  Since it's already been this long, I don't know how much longer that means.  At least I know that there is nothing I can do since the problem' is between Netflix and Apple and I am forced to wait until they resolve it.

Thanks for the response guys! Hopefully this will get resolved soon, I just got into this show and ordered a second Apple TV for my bedroom. Looks like we will just have to wait it out or watch it on other devices.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one having this problem. Other random shows (try “Pucca”) appear to be similarly impaired.

Having the same problem with Switched at Birth... Like after watching one episode thru Apple TV then when i try to watch the next one it'll say "Netflix is currently not available." But it works fine on my macbook and iphone... And it's not only Switched at Birth, it does it on other shows too... Tried turning it off, plugging it out, resetting but it still does the same thing...  Is it Apple TV or Netflix problem? Hope this gets resolve soon cause it does get annoying...

Just to add to the collection of data here:  I called into Netflix as well regarding Mad Men.  Got pretty much the same story about this only being experienced by Apple TVs and Sony Blu-Ray players, and that engineers are working on it.  When asked for an ETA, I was told by "tomorrow at 5pm" (so that would be Thursday, August 24th at 5pm).

This seems to have affected another TV show I decided to watch Flavor of Love (don't judge lol) and I just finished an episode decided to check out some other stuff then came back to the show and same message. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

I decided to do a test, I searched for Switched at Birth watched a few mins went back to the Netflix menu and then tried to open it again and now it's not available anymore. This issue seems to happen with TV shows, watching/starting an episode then going back to the main Netflix menu.

I have the same problem with my apple tv. My solution.... I dusted off my Roku, connected it back to my TV and right now I am enjoying my Mad Men. Honestly Apple and Steve you need to get your act together. This is not Netflix's fault. Mad Men has a HUGE following and I want to enjoy mine on my TV.
