Viber not working

Whats up with Viber. I have been using viber for a while now both in 3G and wifi without any problems. Today however in 3G it wouldnt take calls. So i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it is still not working in 3G. I have an iphone 4... It also is not recognising the contacts on my phone that are also on Viber who I have been contacting since I originally installed it....Any ideas???

I've got the same issue as Kshaz. I was instructed by my service provider (3 mobile) to delete and re-install viber. I did it and now it does nothing including sync my contacts. 3 mobile assured me 100% they are not blocking voice over Ip apps at all and told me it was a maintenance issue in the area I am in. It seems that no matter what I post code I give them (I've been through most of NW London today) they're doing maintenance everywhere. I'm sure there has to be something else at play here.

Hello viber team! My fiancee is in the philippines and since yesterday she's been having a problem with connectivity. She then updated the app nothing changed. Then she reinstalled viber completely and she cant get past the first setup page returning: no connectivity. She resides in the Philippines, with carrier SMART telecoms, The issue only just occured yesterday we've been using viber for all our communication needs.

I am having the same problem as CRAKZOR.


i am from the phillippines, and SMART's my Carrier. this problem started last 02/09/2013 late in the evening, around 10, i guess.. and I haven't been able to connect--- unless I'm on wifi. I tried calling my network and they say everything's fine -- which is true since i CAN access all other apps that are 3G dependent.. Please advice. I've already submitted a ticket(viber). I hope this issue can be resolved as quickly as possible- It's our family's communication line for free calls:(

Hi,


Some mobile operators across the world block Viber on their 3G network. Usually this happens when users have a "simple" data plan (or a prepaid contract), meaning they didn't pay extra for using VoIP on their 3G network.

In order to verify this, we recommend to:

1. Test Viber on a few different WiFi networks, and see that it works fine.

2. Contact your cell company and confirm this with them.
