Will the iPhone 4 support the new Siri integration?

I am aware of the minor new features in the new iPhone 4S, but am wondering if Siri will be in the iPhone 4 when ios 5 comes out next Wednesday.

iPhone 4, iOS 4.2.7, 16GB CDMA Black

Many of the post on the discussion board are not correct. Siri was in the app store before the 4s came out. If you downloaded it before the iphone 4s, then you are lucky. You still have use of some of its features. If you did not download it before hand, then you are out of luck. If you know of anyone who dowloaded siri from the app store before it was removed, then you can get it from them. Remember, the features have been updated and changed so that some of its features are exclusive to the 4s. You can speak and get your results; however, it will not speak back to you anymore.

"apple will not release it for older devices because the large amount of users slamming their servers could cause Siri to become slow and useless to the user"

If that could be the real reason Apple will support iCloud just to iPhone 4S users too. iCloud servers is more bigger than the Siri Servers... The server isn't trouble. The business is the iPhone 4S sales. They need asecurate the sales from this devices. If iPhone 4S had not Siri would have sold much less.. That's the true.

And... I have an iPhone 4 with Siri, that's all i need.

Peeps, I am newbie on this forum and was prompted as I read the most recent Macworld magazine which had an articles about Siri being ported and tested on an iPhone 4; it worked a treat.

For me the new iPhone 4s is more than just Siri but also as much about increased video and graphics memory as well as enhanced processor.

So come on Apple why stop Siri being officially ported onto iPhone 4 for loyal laws bidding customers

Straighten out iKaiser, I doubt very much you've got a validation token off the 4S firstly because there is no 4s JB and you need the token to connect. Just because you have a JB phone and installed the Siri GUI from cydia doesnt mean you have Siri on your IP4... Im getting really tired of all these lies, from ppl who dont know what they are talking about. For your information iCloud works on IP4, maybe you should just go under settings and turn it on instead of saying its only 4s because of sales. Its quite clear you dont know what your talking about.

HI

The siri feature is only meant to be on the iPhone 4S now i know you would liek to know why apple does not put it one the previous iPhone this is for several reasons:

  • the iPhone 4S has dual core so this means it actually can do more than 1 thing at a time but hold on you say multitasking is available on the previous iPhone well actually no its not true multitasking what the chip actually does is does each thing seperatly but does it so quick in ess than a second you dont realise so you think it does multitasking. Well for siri dual core is needed so 1 processer can do what siri needs while the other keep the background functions going
  • siri is something to get people to buy the iPhone 4S yes you may say but i only brought the 4 but unlike other companys apple does wait 1 year then releases a new version so of course no one will buy a new version unless it has things the other one dosent in this case siri
  • yes apparently siri can be hacked to be on other i devices but i wouldnt reccomend it as it will only slow down you device and cause problems
  • those of you who are looking forward to a jailbreak to get siri on other i devices its pointless because apple will not allow their servers to process anything other than siri requests from the iPhone 4S, yes this has not been done yet but it most likely will be done soon as apple would benefit from keeping it as something exclusive for the 4S and newer models

Will the iPhone 4 support the new Siri integration?
