my iphone is frozen

I was updating some apps, specifically the lastest facebook update, it was taking forever to load...then when it finally did load, it didn't work, so I decided to delete the app & just redownload it. Ok fine...its redownloading. I left, came back to check it, and it was still installing, so I decided to shut off my phone and restart it, here comes the problem,.ever since then, my phone won't turn back on. It is frozen with the apple logo on it. I have tried to hold the sleep & wake button, plug it in to itunes, everything & still nada.

WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?!

iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.2

hold down the top button and home button and do a hard reset...it might take 45-60 seconds.

I'm getting the same thing too. Facebook app killed my iphone and now it's not booting at all. It's just stuck at the apple logo and not going to my home screen.

I'm getting the same thing too. The Facebook update killed my phone as well. Its stuck at the Apple logo and its driving me crazy. What do I do? I need my phone.

Have you tried pushing and holding the power and home buttons for 25 seconds?

If this not work try this:

1) Hold buttons sleep + home untill iPhone turns off;

2) Open iTunes;

3) Hold home button and plug the phone to your computer. The phone will turn on and the iTunes + Arrow + cable screen will appear.;

4) iTunes will recover you phone from unsuccessful recovery process.

does it just sit at this itunes and cable screen too, or is it actually recovering? my phone did the same thing and nothing is seeming to work

iTunes library will prompt you to "restore". Click on it & follow the prompts.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 3GS. I installed the new Facebook 4.0 App, it froze my phone, so I reset my handset and my iPhone became stuck on the Apple logo. In my situation I restarted the phone again and had to wait a solid 10 minutes before the phone booted past the Apple logo and into iOS.

I got the phone to restart but FB definitely is not working and I am afraid to try to again vs. risking losing access to my phone. C'mon FB, get your stuff together!

That happened to me, too. My phone has been frozen on the apple logo screen for about an hour now. I've tried pretty much everything and nothing works. My computer won't even recognize it so I can't restore it.

Same thing here. Never had a problem with my iPhone 4. New FaceBook App hosed it up. I'm having to do a full restore.

Same thing happened to me!!! stupid new facebook update! ive been trying to restart my phone forever but its stuck on the apple logo. i keep holding the two buttons but it just stays at the apple logo... what to do!

Same thing happened to my husband's phone... Facebook app update completely crashed it. iTunes won't recognize it. Nothing working. He uses this phone for business so this is a huge problem. Hoping someone has some advice that works...

Same here. Facebook crashed my phone too. Have pushed home and sleep button... just brings the apple logo back up again. Did it for 45 seconds. Apple logo comes and goes and comes again, but still froze. Plugged into computer but it's not being recognized w/ itunes. Anyone else have any other ideas.
