I know it comes out tomorrow Oct 12, but can i download at midnight or do i have to wait to a certian time and if so what time would that be at?

As has been said multiple times, Apple has not announced a specific time. You'll find a number of guesses in the other threads, but that's all they are, guesses. We'll have to wait until it appears.

WOW we are hooked.... I cant wait for iOS5 to come out... Initially I was not to impressed with the new iphone....I think I was more excited about the iOS instead... can wait!!!!
Really? 2.23AM? Thats crazy. Right now it's 8am in the UK and given that in cali it's around midnight, i would say it should be around 4PM or 5PM GMT before apple wake up smell the coffee and get to their desks.

It probably won't be released until 10am PDT in California or 6pm UK time. That's when Apple normally release the new iOS, forget all the rumours about midnight California time, or midnight local time, it has never worked that way!!!

I would recommend/advice don't wasting time to keep pressing 'Check for Upgrade'.. if the place you live is in dark, just go bed and rest.. Apple wont release iOS 5 within next few hours (all Apple staff are in the sweet dream).. come back in 5-8hours later should be a great choice... I from Singapore, probably I will wake up somewhere 3am in Singapore time to check the upgrade as last nite I woke up 3.35am to upgrade iTunes 10.5...
