iPhone 4 5.0 Upgrade 3200 Error
I am trying to upgrade a vanilla iPhone 4 to the 5.0 software and the process works fine and after the backup and extraction, I get the 3200 error. Any help on solving for my Mac OS Lion?

On my ipod
-first my screen went black for 1 seconde
-apple logo appeard for 2 seconds
-connect to itunes appeared for 2 second-screen goes black and it reboots with 3200 error after my 25th try
It's just a server overload issue. Just keep trying. Don't do anything drastic or silly to your device!
try turning off your firewall during install of the software. Had the same problem 1st time I tried, but after I turned off the firewall it worked.
Nice to see apple once again underestimate the consumer. They have been talking this up since May, and they still can't prepare themselves. Very impressive.
Same problem here with 16GB 3Gs updating from iTunes 10.5 on Win7 x64 PC. I guess I'll leave it a few nights till everyone has stopped hitting the server so hard...
I am in Germany, its the same Problem -3200... can anybody tell me were the downloaden iOS5 on my windows computer is? i would copy it on an other computer
Lovely , even this board is getting hit hard with this issue .Things are looking up for this iCloud lol
working after 8 tries. Error is on Apples servers.
Same problem for me. 3200. This update better be good lol.
Oh my goodness! I have tried 3 times already and keep getting the same error. I did my sons iPad2 first and it worked just fine. My iPhone 4 is giving me a hard time. Ugh! Beyond frustrated!!!
All:
It is just how several folks have observed, i.e. a contention issue with the servers. It took me 8 tries on my iPad to get rid of the 3200 error, but it finally did it. The iPhone 4 went right through though. Hang in there.
Hey Guys
I had the same problem. Just called Apple and fixed there problem. On itunes go to edit, prefrences, devices, and find your device and delete the back up. then start the update over.
try another cable, it worked for me
yea just hit restore like 7 times it will work, trust me, i just did it and i thought it wouldnt work but my ipod is working fine now....the apple servers are a little on the slow side -___- so give it a chance to work after hitting the restore button 7 times
We could all save ourselves a little stress if we read/headed the posts of the several folks that nailed the issue! It is an Apple Server overload issue. Either keep trying or wait for things to calm down. No need to be fiddling with a bunch of crap on your phone or in iTunes 🙂.
Can't wait to try it out. I guess I am not alone which is why the servers are overloaded!
