How do i change my icloud id on my iphone?

This worked perfectly!

1. Back up device to iTunes.

2. In iCloud settings turn off all your synced applications. ( first opportunity to save to device)

3. Press the red "delete account" button at bottom

4. Hit delete again**

5. Now you will be given the option to save all synced info on device.

6. Reopen settings, then setup iCloud with a new user name.

Yay.

Hey so i had the same problem. You have to accept the terms and conditions above it. That will help you access your settings.

Also all those who had the same problem as me listen up.

I had to change my email for my itunes and when i did that it did not change for my icloud. When i tried to access the icloud it needed a password to delete it and access my new account. The problem is that the old address is non-existant and so all my passwords and personal information didn't work so i couldn't delete it.

It requires a password, because you have the find my itouch toggle on. But to turn it off you also need a password. I thought i was stuck. There is a secret. Go to your contacts toggle and turn it off. This turned off also my find my itouch toggle, without a password. I was able to delete my account and put in my right id and have my icloud with all my purchases that i had made.

I changed my email months ago. I got everything (iTunes, iCloud, etc) updated on my computer, and mostly on my iPhone 4, but my AppleID for iCloud was still showing my old email and wouldn't let me change it. After the latest software update (iOS 7.0.3), I was finally frustrated enough to search the web for help, and that's how I came across this discussion. Even though the post by MTRoads is 1.5 yrs or so old, the method still applies the newer phones and software. Here are the steps below with my added insight:

1. Back up device to iTunes.

2. In iCloud settings turn off all your synced applications. ( first opportunity to save to device)

As you turn off each individual item, it will ask if you want to save/keep previously synced info on the device; touch YES/KEEP. When you get to photo stream, there's no save option; it will delete photo stream photots from your phone. But, if you synced as stated above, then have no fear bc after you finish the rest of the steps, your photo stream photos will start re-downloading onto your phone -- NOTHING LOST 🙂

**I also save my photots to my computer the same way you would pics from a camera, SD card, etc -- create a new folder wherever you want the pics to go (desktop, in your pics folder, etc..); go into "my computer"; dbl click your iPhone/iPod/iPad, etc.; dbl click the storage icon; dbl click folders until they open up with all your pics/video clips, etc.; copy or cut and paste photos into the new folder you created. This way, should something go wrong, you KNOW your pics and videos are safely saved and stored in an accessible place on your computer 🙂

6. Reopen settings, then setup iCloud with a new user name.

Like Zarlo265, I am unable to change my Icloud ID from an old email address I do not use and it will not accept my password. On top of that the account has never been verified because the email does not have a link that works. I am unable to delete the account without the password, and unable to add another while it is there. Since it was never verified, I cannot use the Icloud at all. Any ideas on how to do this without losing all my data would be greatly appreciated.
