Error (-5000) while updating iPhone 4 to iOS 5??!

While my phone is backing up, before iTunes installs iOS 5, I get error (-5000) and it says if I continue, I will lose all the content on my phone. HELP!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!

Thanks to other posters, I was able to get my iPod Touch to updgrade to the new Os by disabling the firewall in Windows 7. I couldn't find MIcrosoft Securities Essentials but disabling the firewall is all I needed. I was then able to upgrade and restore.

Hope this helps anyone else out there with the same issue. Mac users, I'm not sure what to try next, sorry.

For others with the same problem: Updating iPhone 4 from 4.2.10 to 5.1.1 and getting the -5000 error.

The suggestion to turn off the firewall, do the update, turn the firewall back on worked like a charm.

That was all I had to do.

Using Norton I just turned the firewall off with a click.

The update went fine.

There are two iPhone 4's that use this computer and one didn't have any problems at all...the other did.

Go figure.
