No iCloud on Snow Leopard? THIS IS A JOKE, APPLE!

My mac came with snow leaport and i have a free upgrade to Lion.

I don't want to upgrade right now becuase Lion is not stable.

BTW iCLoud is support on MS windows 7 - apple is just being a jerk with mac users.

It can't offord to jerk aound the PC users as they will go with andriod.

If Apple don't support contacts sync for Snow Leopard, then I'm going to ditch iCloud and use Syncmate instead on my macs and pod/phone. I've tested the free edition which sync contacts and calendar reliably. The paid edition also syncs itunes/iphoto.)

Tried it. It worked. Some of my weekly events that are repeated were duplicated on the same day, but that was a quick fix. Patience. It may take a second or two to sync up.

And multiple parties on multiple OS's (windows and Snow Leopard) can share and edit the SAME calendar????

Even though iCal might work in some half-assed way...it doesn't help us with all the other complex issues of syncing with other devices.

I'm not sure if it works for contacts. I don't use it for that purpose.

About sharing iCal - I don't use it for that purpose either. If you want to try it just give setup that account, it doesn't take that long.

I think the main issue here is that this 'upgrade' to Lion is way too blunt in its implementation of new technologies (iCloud), and its discontinuation of others (MM, Rosetta and Core duo). There should be a buffer solution Apple. ****, I would rather pay $30 to get iCloud on SL than pay that sum for Lion. Actually, I'd pay $100 a year (like I used to for MM) just to get that functionality on SL. Lion is priced so low because it isn't worth all that much.

Whoever relies in 2011 on powerpc apps was simply lazy all the time and should now get his act together in finding replacement apps or ditch the old software completely. Wosoever denies and refuses must stick to Snow forever, but then not complain in all the missing new goodies. Whosoever relies on MobileMe and feels "locked out" : stop whining.Get a new Webhoster and Mailprovider. Evaluate sugarsync,dropbox,flickr,vimeo and what else services are there.

You are trying to tell us that there is no way... A multimillion dollar company...with incredibly smart and talented programmers can't implement it's own compatible syncing system to a .(point) numbered one level down OS but can backward compatible the "shyt out" for PC users....they have absolutely NO power to do this??? Cmon now. Let's not be completely ignorant of the power of people to come up with a working solution. And sorry. I'm not biting. I'm too old to buy into that crap.

Tell you what. When you stop being a naive stupid child and drop a check in the mail of approximate $2000 to cover the costs of upgrading software which is only 1-5 years old...

THEN we will consider dropping the thread.

Also. SugarSync. I have yet to test it out.

I've been too busy WORKING and NOT DEALING with LION issues like everyone else at work!!

Dropbox, SugarSync etc are file synchronization programs, how do you intend to use them to sync Contacts & Calendar content?
