The iCloud IMAP server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” rejected the password for user XXXX
p99-imap.mail.me.com is not editable in my Mail.com configuration. Is this just a temporary glitch?

Have a same issue... I got some important documents in mail , but now I couldn't take it out... 😟 .
ditto
So, I ordered the new iPhone, got excited about iOS5, downloaded it for my current iPhone 4, then realised that iCloud wouldn't work with Snow Leopard and have just shelled out another £41.98 for Lion on both mine and my wifes MacBook's.....
Had the problem changing over from MobileMe to iCloud, but eventually got through and now cannot access my email on iCloud, my iPad or my iPhone!!! Mail didn't work at first on my MacBook but it is now, but why not the other devices?
Come on Apple, the iPhone 4S arrives tomorrow and I'll be scared to use it if I can't access my email! That's why I love the iPhone, so I can access everything on the go.
Your comments please Apple?
Having the same issue. in the browser I got an error and a report to send to Apple which I did.
Add me to the list as well.
same issue here with the p99 mobileme server rejecting my known-good password in Mail.app and also "cannot load mail" accessing from icloud.com. And they're not even acknowledging the fact that we're having problems at http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/ If you're not gonna fix it right away, at least acknowledge the **** your users are going through!
And another one!
Did get some sort of overload message saying try later, but I am not sure as I couldn't read it clearly through a red haze.
All my eBay selling is going to grind to a halt!
it reminds me when "MobileMe" was first introduced.
?Glitch. Total meltdown.
I had an e-mail from "no reply" telling me how wonderful everything was going to be.
Since then constant (rejected) requests for a password for my Mac mail on my new cloud.
I had hoped to uncheck the tick on the iCloud for mail, but the greyed out bits on the account settings remain a problem.
Nice to know that I'm not alone.
it certailly proves the value of alternative e-mail addresses.
Is it possible to get back the pre-cloud settings and hope it will resolve itself by itself?
Dear apple, pull it together, i cant access my flipping mail
And another dissatisfied customer! I can't get email on-line through iCloud, I can't get it through my phone and I can't get it through my computer. It doesn't like my password--even though apple's store takes the password and processes App purchases without a hitch...and I was able to log into this forum using the same darned password iCloud is rejecting. Help. Fast.
I'm having the same issues, anyone know what's going on? My password is being rejected from Mail on my Mac, iCloud online and none of my devices can receive mail. 😕 Come on Apple!
Ditto, this kind of fun is why we are all so anxious to be 'early Apple adopters', right??
;-)))
Same here
Can't access mail or either desktop or web.
Been on and off hold with Apple Support for over an hour now!!!
After the debacle of the Mobile Me launch i thought they would have ensured this one was trouble free????
This brings back a bad memory of when I was one of the lucky 1% that lost all email and had no access for 2 weeks! I did get a free year of mobileme for my trouble : (
I don't think it will be the case this go around. But ****. Hopefully they will get us all up and running asap. My wife is freaking out because it's her work email too. Luckily I too have an alternate to use. By the way, don't waste your time waiting to chat with an advisor. I've been on hold for over an hour.
I am also having this trouble. First just on my Mac, then on my iPhone and now also on iCloud.com.
I believe from everything I've been reading that it is a server/DNS issue on Apple's side and there's nothing we can do other than wait.
There is also this on the iCloud system status page that looks like it's the same thing, although there isn't much information to go on. And it says intermittent slowness - seems like it's more than slowness. Almost seems as though it's a different error. Clearly, though, many of us are affected around the world.
iCloud: Account - Users Affected: Some

Users may experience intermittent slowness when logging in to iCloud Normal service will be restored ASAP. We apologize for any inconvenience.
So as annoying as it is, we just have to wait. And wouldn't this be a great time for Apple to give us a better updateon what's going on. But we'll save that for another thread.
