Notification Center not working on iOS5

Hi,

Notification center is not working on my iPhone 4. I tried turning it on and off several time but it still does not work. The only notifications that do work are Weather, Stocks and Calendar. All other notifications are not working. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

Mail dont show either in notification centre or lock screen.! Only weather app , missed calls, sms. I tried several times doing again & again the same things but with no result. Only when i open mail application new mails appear both notification centre and lock screen too. Phone 4s upgrated to ios 5.1. Hope someone gets to a solution.

I, too, am not getting notifications from non-Apple apps. However, it sounds like several people don't understand the "lock screen" feature. You can't see the notification center while the screen is locked. It actually means a banner or alert, depending on which you chose in the notification settings for that particular app, will show up while your screen is locked. The center is only avaialble after you've unlocked your screen.

Apple replaced my iPhone 4 earlier. Had a corrupt file and they couldn't get rid of it. So, now putting things back on.. slowly! Can't do it from backup.

Anyways.... Got most of my apps back. Went to Settings/ Notifications... and the only apps in there are the apple apps!! None of my other 145 apps or so... are not showing up in that list!! The phone I had this morning... had all these in there. Anyone know how to fix?? Or do I need to go back to Apple??

Is your Iphone connect to your home wifi ?

And do you test it while you are using mobile network?

So when you only test it in your wifi maybe your router block the port of Apple Notification Service and so you dont get any push message or notification.

Open the port 5223 in your router network settings and it should solve the wifi problem 😉

best regards
