Mine too. it took forever to backup and update my ipod touch 4g to the new ios 5. But everything seems sluggish after that. The touch screen experience seems to be a bit jittery and there are noticeable pauses when loading apps. Is this just my ipod or is ios5 just not up to the mark?

yeah I guess the iPad HD will be a fast thing cause of the specs... anyway my concern is about the products that I already have and the non-care from apple... I literally spend thousands on apple products... and I feel rip off whith this ipad 4g and with my macbook early 2011... if apple solutions to their problems is to release new product and expect us to invest on their mistakes... i don't thinks is the way to go... this are all expensive devices, and much more for people that lives outside of USA.

And frankly I don't think we should support that behavior at all... to make it worst the produce policies that attempt to the user... no downgrade? so they make a mistake and you have to wait month if not years to get it fix? and I don't see that they are going to fix this one... cause it looks that it's a hardware issue... no memory... so as I say before, if they cannot fix it they should recall the devices and put more memory on them or whatever action they need to give us what we are paying for... and probably this is not the best place to complain cause as we see they read it and they don't care... so we should go to the media, or take legal actions if possible cause I guess is the apple's way... a shame... cause they really made some good products.

Yeah, so far so good. But it looks like version 5.1 is finished and being rolled out to us now. Although I haven't upgraded yet. It's weird though, my device doesn't have a "Software Update" under the general section of settings. Can't seem to figure that one out. :\

You need to have at least on 1GB free, otherwise it's greyed out. And you need at least 5.0, of course ...

Settings-General-About-Diagnostics and Usage-Diagnostics and Usage Data. And the iPod touch 4G seems to be the only thing with this problem. If my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S have no problem with 5.1, I'm sure The New iPad will run it exquisitely.

Thanks. I have tons of lowmems there, but the last one was 8 days ago ....

Maybe it's because I always fill my pod to the limit ? Something like: missing swap space. I will try it with at least 1GB free space ...

(Today I'm so **** off with all this 😠)

swap space? mmm nop... I have 18gb of free space...

a lot of apps running on the same times... mmm, something to do with that... but It happen to me with 3 or 4 open... there are 12 pages here of people that have this problem in any grade... we are hardly trying to fix it but is apple how have to...

Yeah normally i believe Apple stuff are twice better than what they really say in their specs, but after installing iOS 5 everything turned out to be wrong. Apps in my iPod takes alot of time to open and load and worst thing is many apps crashes in the middle. i think theres some problem occuring in my iPod while trying to use gyro in some apps. So i think the iPod users have to wait until some better update comes to it! ➖

Not sure why you guys are having so many issues.

that's because you never had iOS4 on iPod Touch. It was faster, and more stable. With iOS 5.0.1, I had to keep on resetting my iTouch to keep it running smooth, I had Safari crashed on me, Skype voice call with a lot of static noise..... I just think there was a memory leaking somewhere.

After installing iOS 5.1 Everything is fine now. All UI is more responsive now, and I don't have these mini crashes anymore. Highly recommend anyone with iTouch to update it immediately.

¡¡¡ INSOPORTABLE !!!
