Mine too. it took forever to backup and update my ipod touch 4g to the new ios 5. But everything seems sluggish after that. The touch screen experience seems to be a bit jittery and there are noticeable pauses when loading apps. Is this just my ipod or is ios5 just not up to the mark?

First to take out the doubt of the free space... I have a 32gb iPod Touch 4g with 18gb free...

Probably all this have to do with the way iOS admins the free mem... only 256mb vs 512mb of the iPhone...

Anyway I guess is a sofware issue... Yesterday I download this game "Real Racing 2" that I used to play on the iPod touch 1st gen and I try before on the 4g before upgrade to iOS 5.x

The first time it loads I choose a track and the games force close...

The second time it works but the main screen is very slaggish and the track selection too... the games seams to loose a couple of frames while playing... this NEVER hapend before... and I just wanted to show to a friend how awasome it is... NOT.

If it's a matter of memory Apple should recall and put more memory on the devices... if it's a matter of software Apple should fix it asap... anyway Apple have to fix it! Cannot believe that I found myself using my old touch 1st gen...

Well I guess I'm not alone here. My iPod touch 4th gen (64 gb) has gone crazy since iOS 5. Half my games won't load without crashing, safari crashes every five web pages, the app store can only load the updates section. Try to load an app from the top 25 and it crashes. Music crashes constantly, it takes forever to turn on, and sometimes, of it has been ff for a while and I try to unlock it by using the sleep/wake button, it will take it as a double entry and unlock, lock it. Then I have to unlock it again. And I had to take the lock off because it took an extra 5-10 seconds just for it to recognize the fact that i typed in my pass code.

And then there is my iPad 2. It's doing much better, but still has the occasional hiccup (it had a rare safari crash while loading this page, but that almost never happens).

Apple better fix this

complaining here wont work.

what will work is this;

ALL CALL APPLE (check ur local apple phonenumber at the site)

Im serious, it will take max 10 minutes (10x0.10$=1$ costs)

They said;

'oh thats weird, we never heard of this problem before' @#$@%@# lying idiots.

But my solution is calling apple and then go to retail store,

to get refunded.

You can say at retail store you tried everything, even what apple said on phone (blabla restore blabla doesnt work).

They can check at retail store if you really called with apple, so that will work against them.

THen finally get a refund for this stupid ipod touch4g, its a fail with ios 5,0.

Im gonna buy myself a samsung galaxy s2.

GF apple, bye.

I have the same problem.

I upgraded my iPod Touch 3rd Generation to iOS 5.0.1 and everything became incredibly slow. It takes a while before ipod starts and the lock screen wouldn't go away for like a min. I mean really it is that slow.

I did so many resetting, restoring, and setting up as new. I thought may be it just my problem, but seems like many people have this. I think its the iOS 5.0.1

I didn't have iCloud in the ipod before. So its not the problem.

Apple does not even let me downgrade the firmwhere to older version as well. That's what ***** too. I know people said it works with iPod Touch 2nd Generation, but it didn't work for me [3rd Generation].

Thanks, and Apple fixes this soon.
