I don't think either of us read the user agreement, csayce. We are to stay on topic, be polite, and post constructive comments and questions. I thought my comment was constructive in the moment (many people can and should punctuate, they are simply being lazy. It does help readers.), but I can see how it was taunting.
At the time, I was tired and irritated at Apple and the very long threads of repeated work-arounds on this issue. There has been no acknowledgement from Apple of a problem and little has been done to correct it after update opportunities. None of the solutions (including a refund and the imminent small claims process we here in the U.S. would have to pursue) are acceptable for a product this young (I have the iPad2) and at this price point. It really should just be rolled back to how it was. Insisting on a refund is a good suggestion for those willing to pursue it, though. Perhaps it would encourage Apple to take customer's rights (to have what they paid for not degraded) more seriously.
I didn't read every post because I was skimming for a complete solution within the Music app, which does not exist. Skimming is harder on long posts with no punctuation. I could see you had a thoughtful response and I wanted to read it (quickly) but it was just tedious and I wanted you to know that it is a drawback to being heard. I could have said so more politely or simply ignored it. I'm truly sorry this is harder for you than I assumed.
So... open forum or not, moderators are full within their rights to remove a post which contain (especially intentional) taunts on one's ability (or disability), disparagement of their character with reference to their parenting, offensive and hateful cultural mockery and name-calling, all of which, you have sensibly removed from your repost. (I hold no grudge, either, btw. Your Welcome.) They really should have deleted my initial request to you on punctuation as well.
- Stay on topic. Apple Support Communities is here to help people use Apple products and technologies more effectively. Unless otherwise noted, do not add Submissions about nontechnical topics, including:
- Speculations or rumors about unannounced products.
- Discussions of Apple policies or procedures or speculation on Apple decisions.
- Be polite. Everyone should feel comfortable reading Submissions and participating in discussions. Apple will not tolerate flames or other inappropriate statements, material, or links. Most often, a "flame" is simply a statement that is taunting and thus arbitrarily inflammatory. However, this also includes those which are libelous, defamatory, indecent, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, objectionable, discriminatory, abusive, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or offensive in a sexual, racial, cultural, or ethnic context.
- Post constructive comments and questions. Unless otherwise noted, your Submission should either be a technical support question or a technical support answer. Constructive feedback about product features is welcome as well. If your Submission contains the phrase "I'm sorry for the rant, but…" you are likely in violation of this policy.
