Music App. In iOS 5 doesn't show Lyrics

Hello everybody. Yesterday I updated my iPad 2 with iOS 5. Now in the Music App the Lyrics don't appear anymore. I'm very disappointed and angry about that. Can anybody please tell me if it is a bug or if this was made intentionally. I hope tat this is a bug because the iOS 5 manual for the iPad (Ipad userguide for ios5 - downloaded from ibooks) shows on page 218 the following: "Display a song’s lyrics

Display the album cover by tapping the thumbnail at the top of the screen. Lyrics appear if you’ve added them to the song using the song’s Info window in iTunes." If it is a bug, when will it be fixed? If it is no bug, then I want to go back to its 4.3.5. Can anybody tell me how that would work?

Best Regards

iPad 2, Other OS

What is Apple doing ? Did some decency of Quality Control pass away with Steve Jobs ? I think when we paid a premium for these products, we expect it "TO JUST WORK". Simple feature like this and omission of it that annoy users is unforgivable and what a let down. Is Apple about to go back to the old route and end up where it started years ago !?

Can the development team of Apple look carefully at what is done for the users. We trusted you, we depend on you, so don't let us down with such a silly stun!!!!

What an asinine statement.

Yeah, in the week between when he passed away and iOS 5 was released, QC was completely eliminated...

Grow up.

lol... someone actually got worked up over this ? hahaha.... impressive indeed. What a grown up indeed. Perhaps QC was "almost" completely eliminated, how did you managed to guess it ?

This is disgusting!

Take it to the bathroom please.

Really cracks me up when people use the word "disguting" in such a way.

Why would you feel the need to throw up or get nauseous over something like this?

I can understand you may not be happy and even maybe a little bit ticked off over it but disgusted?

If you are disgusted with Apple, why are you using their products?

Hello davidktw,

I agree with everything you say, but next time leave "SJ" out of it.

Yes, the music app is a piece of garbage, and yes, quality control should have

blocked this. Lyrics support is a feature mentioned in the manual, and was a feature

of the old "ipod" app.

But unfortunately that is not the worst. There is no app on my iPad that freezes/crashes

more often than this one. I even deleted most of my playlists to make the playlists feature work, though

only painfully. Then those playlists were deleted (by syncing) on my Mac as well. And

even now it keeps crashing and freezing all the time.

This is definitely the worst product I have ever seen coming out of Apple. Complaints about lack of

quality control are totally appropriate. It is four months now since this was released, and still no fix.

Apple, please follow the example of Coca Cola, admit your mistake, and release the old ipod app

as "Music app Classic". I would pay for it.

Odd that using a word correctly cracks you up. "Arousing strong indignation" seems perfectly appropriate for software that's broken.

I do agree with you that it's really annoying when people bring up SJ any time there's a problem now, after all there were plenty on his watch as well.

Perhaps if this app and display of these lyrics were essential to my life, maybe I'd be a bit upset but still, disgusting and arousing strong indignation are not words I would use to describe missing lyrics.

Not that it's not there, but a quicjk Google search and I couldn't find any definition of digusting = arousing strong indignation (which would seem more appropriate but still a stretch).

But no worries here. No need to go on.
